Thanks

For writing & printing music Finale & Sibelius are the industry standards. I've used Finale off & on for a decade. It has pros & cons. But for printing the sheet music, it's definitely excellent.

This program looks free & similar, but I can't vouch for it as I've never used it.

Hope this helps. Best of success!

Just saw your reply. I have been trying the free version of Forte and dealing with the learning curve.
I haven't read sheet music since Jr High band and I am 68 now so I am doing a lot of head scratching and printing out any help that I can find. It is much easier now with the internet to help but it will take a little time.
I am writing an albums worth of music for a band I am putting together of other disabled vets. It's a blast but just taking the guitar back up after years and relearning song writing is a big chunk.
Thanks for the suggestions and I will look at those other programs. What do you hear about Forte?
Thanks

You are welcome.

Forte is the freeware version of Finale. Not as powerful, but it gets the job done. If it works for your purposes, then you've found a solution. :)

All those programs do essentially the same things. It's just a matter of finding one that you understand & can use efficiently & effectively. Best of success with your project!

If you are looking for blank sheet music to print, this site has a great format. The menu options at the top allow you to format it for a variety of clefs.
