how can i put horizontal lines

How ya doin,i seen posts that have horizontal lines for using tabs,i thought that the instructors can do that.i would like to know how its done.i would appreciate it.thanks AXE.

You mean these lines:

e|----------|
B|----------|
G|----------|
D|----------|
A|----------|
E|----------|

To write that kind of lines, all you have to do is click the hashtag above the text area when you write a post or reply. That usually brings up a small window telling you to write some stuff you want shown as code. Ignore that and write something random, click OK, erase whatever you wrote, and write the tabs you wanted to write. Keep in mind that formatting it properly so it looks good is hard in this window, so I suggest using something like Notepad for Windows machines to write the tab first, then copy-paste it into the window, between the two CODE tags.

Do you see a line of small icons above the text area at all? If you do, the hashtag should be the second from the right.
