I just recently bought a epiphone standard pro. It has probucker humbucker pickups that can be split to single coil pickups. I'm going to replace them and put the probuckers in my old washburn lyon. I really want lace alumitone pickups but I don't know if they are split able. If they can't be split what pickups would you guys recommend. I was thinking Burstbuckers or Seymor duncans.

Ah yes, the old pickup dilemma. It's really hard to say what pickups one should get. It's so individual and depends fully on what type of sound you're going for. However, there are a few differences in quality. I.e just because it's a humbucker doesn't mean it's a good pickup. Gibson, Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio etc all make great pickups. And it's def worth spending a couple extra dollars for something like that rather than an Epiphone humbucker.
I suppose as long as the pickup you want to coil tap is humbucker it should be possible. It doesn't work if it's a single coil pickup.

Hope this helps!

I'm guessing that you need 4 wire humbuckers. Also some type of push or pull pots. Double check this info .

I already have push pull pots on the guitar. they came stock. there are probuckers in it right now. Which sound awesome for stock pickups. I really want to get alumitones. but no one seem to know if they will be split able. I'm looking at seymor duncun and Gibson burstbuckers. I'm looking for heavy blues tone to classic rock to metal. And the split coils are for Chili peppers type stuff. I also have a peavey Raptor SSH I'm considering hot rodding. I'm new to modding. so im just looking for some input.
