Finally learning to play

Hello all. I am 46 yrs. old and finally learning to play guitar. Growing up in middle and high schools and watching my friends playing in bands I always wanted to learn to play but with school, sports, and working never really got the chance. So now I have finally decided to take the time for myself and learn. I recently bought a Ibanez electric and small Marshall practice amp. After doing as much research as possible decided that GuitarTricks might be the best way for me to learn to play, I have been doing the lessons for about a week now and still learning to get my fingers in the right positions and strumming the right strings. but figure that will all come with practice and time. Wish me luck and I am sure I will be looking to the forum for any advice that can be offered.

Here's the place to be. Plenty to learn. Look through the site and everything in it. Get a good start with fundamentals 1 & 2.
