Tube Amps and Jam band sound

After i get my next paycheck from mcdonalds, im going to have enough to buy an 800 dollar amp , and im going to get the Fender Deluxe Reverb.

Now, im also going to get an envelope filter and a boomerang, as well as some other stuff, but as far as the new electric guitar goes, what should i get? Ibanez, Jackson, BC Rich, all those heavy metal ones are out of the question.

I recommend looking at some Yamaha Pacifica guitars with dual pickups. Just close your eyes, and when you hear Gerry, you've found the right one! :D

Try everything. Just because it's a "Metal" guitar doesn't mean it won't do what you want.

Granted, I don't like the body styles either, but give everything a chance. Remember - Jerry's guitar had a lot of "heavy metal" charictaristics. He just played it with his own style.
