Looking at that paisly strat, 2 things jump out at me. It is not a "classic" strat configuration in that it has a humbucker in the bridge pickup. Also, it's either made in mexico or china. Especially since you are an experienced player and know the benefits of a quality instrument, I'd suggest you don't buy this sight unseen.
I haven't researched strats since back in 2000, but back then it was said that the Made in Mexico strats were pretty decent and comprable in many ways to an American made one. The overseas ones were not held in very high regard.
Buying a strat can make your head spin with all of the different configurations and stuff. At least they don't make the hard tail ones anymore. You had to decided standard (SSS) or deluxe (HSS), maple fretbaord or rosewood fretboard, hard tail or floating bridge...it made my head spin :-).
