I am coming up on a year of playing soon. Still love it.

* Still practice min. of an hour a day, some weekends going 4 and 5 hours.
* Been doing some covers with backtracks using Reaver software. Great way to judge improvement....listen to old stuff you played. (and sometimes cringe)
* Can now sight read sheet music (thanks to my 15 year old daughter)
* Used the knowledge from guitar to learn piano also
* I am "teaching" a friend the basics and getting her involved.
* Still owe it all to GT site.
* and finally got that damn Bm Chord down!

What a ride...

Wow, that's awesome progress in one year!!! Good for you!!!

Good idea learning piano too! I think it is easier sometimes to hear or demonstate theory concepts on the piano because you don't have the technical hurdles you have with the guitar.

I'm jealous you can sight read music already :-). That's on my list...I'll get there on day.

Keep up the fantastic work!

I hear ya! I'd play 4 or 5 hours a day if I could. There's always something new to learn.

I can't wait until I reach my one year mark! Congrats. Just curious though, what gave you problems with the Bm chord? It's pretty much just like a bar chord minus the low E string. I guess all of us have our weaknesses though. To me, switching between E major to A minor is still more difficult than playing bar chords lol

the Bm chord gave me problem because barring while hitting the other 2 frets was hard with my big fingers. Hard for placement.
