I am not happy with my current acoustic guitar. Any suggestions for a thin profile acoustic electric?

Greetings rac27,

Since I am not sure what your current guitar is or your budget, i will share with you my experience. I began playing on an electric 3 years ago and really enjoy it but I also wanted to play certain songs on an acoustic guitar. My target price range was $300-$350 dollars. So, I grabbed a buddy and off we went to GC. He soon began handing me guitars that were in my price range (Yamaha, Idanez, Fender etc.) and I began to play/listen to each of them back to back. After playing six or seven guitars my buddy said "well this one is a little more but I think you will like it." He handed me a Martin 000X1AE. It has a thin body (which I need) and simply sounded awesome compared to the others. It was around $400 at that time and after owning it for two years, I LOVE it! It's not fancy but it sounds great and I have had zero issues with it. I've taken it camping as well as playing it nearly everyday and it has been very durable. I would suggest at least checking out the Martin 000X1AE.

Good luck,

Jim

Hagstrom Swede, they also make a Viking that plays like a dream.

I've been playing them since 1976 and have not found an electric guitar I like better.

For less money and still play really nice check out Epiphone Les Paul models.

Bottom line, you really should play it before you buy it. You will know when you found the right one. That's why I have stayed with the Hag for so long, it just feels right in my hand.

Happy hunting.
