Hi!
I'm newby here, played acoustic guitar since now... and after over 30 years i got finaly my 1st electric Ibanez.
I know is not the best but for a newbie is a good guitar.

I need now a pedal... I thought of buying a multi-effect, so i can try and understand what to buy in the future.

There are several models and I don't know...

I found a Zoom G1XN, cheap and has good reviews.
Does anyone use it?
How about Holy Stain?

Other suggestions?

Tx so much.

Any zoom pedal, the more you spend, the more you get. I've used a few early zooms and new zooms, early digitech plus some of their latest, vox, fender, roland, a bunch. Zoom is the fastest and cleanest multi-effects no matter how much you spend. But, there's a steep learning curve. You have to read the manual to get the right sound because there's so many sounds and so many ways to use a zoom, ...it gets technical. However, the cheaper the zoom, the easier it is to use. And, even the cheap zooms sound good! lol! zoom zoom zoom!

It was cheap and I ordered it... and as you said "zoom zoom zoom zoom" ... I'm enjoying it.

It's a big surprise, it sounds good, has presets from the most famous guitarists, an infinite number of combinations, it has a solid box and it's cheap (cheap cheap cheap).

I'm improving as a hobby, no concert scheduled yet :) ... and i'm on the bottom of my learning curve.

I have the G5. Yes, there is a steep learning curve and it can be overwhelming because it can do sooooo much! I've chosen to take a step back and work with a single effect at a time. Right now I've gotten the tube screamer to give me a tone I like. Next up will be to play with the chorus, and then delay/reverb.
