Anyone tried Amplitube
Hi there lads and lasses,I've just joined guitar tricks. Looking for some advice on phone app (amplitube) where you can buy a HD cable and plug into this phone app. This supposedly gives you the choice of different effects using amp. Anyone used this before.
Cheers Jeff

Never used the phone app but here's my review of the Amplitube stuff.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome to GT. I haven't tried it yet so I don't have any relevant feedback for you. I'll have to give it a whirl.

I've used their PC amp simulator, and I really liked the tone.

I have Amplitube 3. I had it on my iPhone , it's not very good in my opinion. Volume is very poor IMO. Now I have it on my Macbook Pro also. It is awesome. Endless amount of amps and effects. Volume is loud. You can also buy more from the Custom Shop to add more into your arsenal. Vintage Amps galore. For the MacBook Pro, I think its around 250.00.Well worth the money. Ikmultimedia.com You will also need a Guitar Interface. Guitar center has a multitude of Interfaces. The Orange Amps are awesome. Slashes Amps are so so. Fender has great Amp selection. You can do a lot with it. You can listen to your iTunes songs and play along with them.
