i had the old one and currently have the new one on xbox. the old one for me was a disaster, just lagged constantly. with the new one it is much better. when learning a song it will recommend you lessons based on your ability and the song your doing. i use a jackson artist series guitar with a floyd rose and tuning for the game is a pain which hppens alot. im not a huge fan of the song selection that comes with the game. my brother tried it out who has never touched guitar. within 15 minutes he was playing single notes up and down the fretboard and knew all the letters for the strings.

i have a newer tv and find it lags of the tv sound. when i turn on my audio receiver it is much better. i wish i had this game when i started!
