Scales And Sheet Music
I am a little confused. I have just started learning scales and before I got on Guitar tricks I was trying to learn to read sheet music. What I need to know is how can learning scales help me learn to read sheet music. For example there are so many notes in sheet music that are not in the range of a particular scale like C Major scale. Do I go to different patterns of the C Major scale or what?

Scales are the raw materials of music. They will help you navigate the guitar physically while your ears & mind get acclimated to the sounds you will use to play melodies, licks & build into chords.
So, once you can physically maneuver a scale & mentally organize the sound, then you will be better prepared to understand what all those little dots on lines & spaces indicate! :)
Have you been working through the Guitar Fundamentals course?

GF 2 in particular starts with the basic of what scales are & why they are important to play & understand. Then, later on you get to apply that skill & knowledge when you start to reading music notation.

Yes, but you are getting way ahead of yourself! If you are still learning scales & how to read music notation, then just go one step at a time. GF2 also covers how to be prepared to play the same notes or scales in different positions so you can learn how that works also!
If you are already beyond that material, please let me know & I can point you tutorials at the next level!
