Hello guitar folks,

I want to greet the GT comunity with my first post. I am 26, from Romania (Central-Estearn Europe) I play guitar in a local cover band, mainstream mostly.
I am here mostly takns to Anders, i was impresed by his playing, not to offend anyone, i did't got the chance to dig in too much, i bet all the instructors are also very good!
i want to expand my guitar vocabulary, learn new ACURRATE songs and solos and meet new guitarists, pro and amaterus alike!

My current setup is:
Fender Twin Reverb Amp
Heritage H150 Lp
Blueridge BR-163 Acoustic, LR Baggs pickup
Vox Tonelab SE, great for studio work :)
and a bounch of pedals like bb preamp, crunchbox, wampler pinnacle, mad profersor and nova delay tc.
I would love to see some Gary Moore guitar instrumentals here, i am a great fan!

here is me covering a Gary Moore classic, feel pree to post you constructive criticisms or whatever here or on my YT channel!
Rock on!

thank you all for your kind words! man, i have to be honest with you, this site is a gold mine, i really like how things are organized, as i am a very non disciplined person when it comes to study. is simple clear and very versatile!
i was just about to pay a lot s of money for private lessons. i really love this site and i will try to spread the word amoung my friends.
i begin the style focused lessons even if in the beginning tends to be beginerish i still found new things that kind of escaped of my self taught learning. i like how things evoluate in level 2. i am focused right now on rock and acoustic and learning some songs, the right way :)

off topic. does anyone know how to add a lesson to favorites? i have been searching this feature for a while. thanks

Regards, Marius

Very nice utube thing. Enjoyed it very much. I like how you emphasized "accurate". I too am amazed at how Anders manages to convey every little note, every little nuance with such spot-on accuracy. When I dig into an AM tutorial I learn a lot more than just the song.

Sounds great! So did you use the setup you listed in your post for the recording? I really like the tone you have... nice work! :)

Hi Marius, yes great cover and feel!
What pickup do you have in the strat? I was thinking of putting a thin Seymour JB in mine. Thanks!

thanks, "fretsmith", i wish i could of done more at that time.
@slipin: the setup for the recording was a Fender Japan 50's aniversarry, (which in fact i wasn't very happy with the guitar :( (that's just between us) :) Vox tonelab SE into the sound board, just a little bit of eq and compresion to even things out.
@Neal: to be honest with you i am not very tehnical, what can i say was that the pickup that came with the guitar was a copy of a DImarzio, can't remember the model wich acctually sounded pretty well. I had to sell my Strat shorly after looking for a USA one, ending up in selling both. I wasn't very lucky with the strats so far, you know how they say, there are briliant and dull guitars alike from the same model, series, wood whatever. i am still looking for a good strat, mean while i was blown away by The Heritage, an excelent LP, far better than Gibson IMHO.
Best wishes guys, see you aroud! :)

marius,

Good point you made about "there are briliant and dull guitars alike from the same model, series, wood whatever." that made me think.

Thanks for the pickup info, that helps. To add a video to favorite just look to the right of a video under "Lesson Info".

Rock on!
