I've just picked up the guitar again after a decade or two. I can't believe how my hand coordination has deteriorated in the interim. I'm a little frustrated but trying to be satisfied with my small accomplishments. I subscribed to both Jam Play and Guitar Tricks because they each seem to have their strengths (Guitar Tricks definitely has more songs).
Picking Up the Guitar Again
Hey Everyone,
I've just picked up the guitar again after a decade or two. I can't believe how my hand coordination has deteriorated in the interim. I'm a little frustrated but trying to be satisfied with my small accomplishments. I subscribed to both Jam Play and Guitar Tricks because they each seem to have their strengths (Guitar Tricks definitely has more songs).

Hi Brian - I totally relate!
I put down music for 20 years and came back into it a couple years ago - I remember feeling so frustrated at first, because I had expectations that I would just fall back into it like riding a bike. I did realize that I retained quite a bit of good stuff but would have to put in the time to get the fingers and sight reading back up to par - I'm feeling much more confident now but it was frustrating for a bit.
See you around on the forum!
