Hi new to forum & the learning curve.
This will be my second attempt to learn the guitar.
I did a 10week course in adult education the first time ( quite a few years ago), but due to family circumstances I had to stop. Also found I struggled with the "action" on my Yamaha FG-401. I now have a new Cord acoustic which has been professionally set up from new, so hopefully I can get it right now learning here :D

Hi Bob,

The handy thing about using Guitar Tricks is that you can use it when it's convenient for you. And we've tailored the Core Learning System just for beginners. Good to see you here! :)

Hi bronzewound.
Unfortunately I live in the Hampshire across the pond from you.
I'd love to visit NH though, I hear it's lovely there.
Thanks for the welcome guys.
The calluses are coming along nicely...:D

Hi Bob, I've a sister in Lymington. A lovely part of the world. I lived in Hampshire myself, back in the sixties, struggling with the guitar back then. A Watkins Rapier, as I remember. My brother-in-law played in a band in the New Forest area, until his encounter with an alien spacecraft!

Hi Rumbled.

Yes Lymington is lovely, I worked around there some time ago.
i can't believe you had a Watkins Rapier, I had one as well (red) also in the 60s, I had aspirations of being Hank Marvin...LOL,If I remember right the thick lacquer on it got scratched very easily. Those were the days eh. :)
