Hello Everybody !

This is a great site. I have learned several things in a very short time. There are some good lessons to learn. The biggest lesson I have learned didn't come from this site or any other site out there. It is this, I have been playing since I was 14 years old. Thru the years I have been very inspired and played everyday, most of the day. As I got older, I noticed that there were times when I wouldn't play. Sometimes for a month at a time. Why, depression I think. The point is you can't stop playing no matter what. Some of the best music has been written when people were depressed hence the "Blues". I have been staying pretty consistent in my playing to make sure I pick up my Stratocaster everyday or the acoustic. That is the key, don't stop playing. I often wonder how good I would be if I didn't stop playing for a year here a month there whatever.

Don't stop !

Sounds good to me and I just started. I feel guilty when I'm too busy to pick it up for two days, like the last two. I so wish I had started, and continued, when I was young...

I go off camping, up to a month a year, and missed playing when I was away, so I bought a travel guitar and 9volt mini amp. Best of both worlds! :)
Samick Greg Bennett Royale, Epiphone SG, Tanglewood LP HV58 and Strat copy, Hondo II Professional, Hofner Shorty.
Peavey Vypyr 30 Modeling amp.

My best new ideas come when i haven't played for about two weeks, I don't know how that works but it does. (for me)

My playing/practice certainly improves with a week or two off. Even with three weeks off it's notably better when I start up again. Which led me to the theory...

If I never practiced I'd might be a rock god! :D

It takes some of us a little longer than others;
