I've been passionate about the guitar since the mid '90s when my brother-in-law first introduced me to Iron Maiden. They're the inspiration behind everything I do on 6 strings.You definitely should - london is the multi-cultural capital of the world and the heart where all guitarists/musicians belong.
What kind of music are you into? I'll definitely take a look at your thread on alt. picking. You've introduced yourself with a bang, and that's how we love it at GT.
