Wow. 6 month in and still loving every minute.

6 months ago i picked up a guitar for the first time. I signed up for this site and loved it. When I bought it I bought a fender starter package (which I recommend for someone who just is not sure yet). My son is learning on it now.

And Now:

Guitar - I have upgraded, I have a limited run Black Paisley Stratocaster HSS
(http://www.fender.com/guitars/stratocaster/black-paisley-stratocaster-hss-rosewood-fingerboard-black-paisley/)

Amp - I have upgraded to a Fender Mustang I v2
(http://www.fender.com/series/mustang/mustang-i-v2-120v/)

I practice 2 hours every night. Starting with warmups, then move to scales, then to chords. Play a few songs I am working on , then play jam tracks and try to improvise.

And a 2 weeks ago I got a chance that rocked. A friend has a band and they do alot of Green Day stuff. They let me sit in and play Jesus of Suburbia with them. Easy song for most and small venue, I bet maybe 50 people there watching but I did it live with them. All I can say is WHAT A RUSH!

Addicted.....yes.....yes I am.

Thanks GT

Good for you!!! It is a rush.

That's a great practice schedule you have - you'll be absolutely great in to time.
