I'm an old (58) guy who's still learning. I've traded up over the past couple of years from a Tele with a cheap Crate amp to a Gibson Les Paul Classic and a cheap (used) Crate VC131 30 watt tube amp with a Very-Tone Dog effects box. Still not happy with my learning progress until I just bought a new Fender CyberTwin amp. Figured the cost of it beat a decent Fender or Marshall tube amp plus all the effects necessary to get a particular sound. It seems to be working. At least I think I can get the sound of something I can recognize.
