Suppose you walk into your favorite music shop and the whole place comes to a screeching halt. This guy in a suit walks up to you who happens to be the BMOC and announces you are the millionth customer and won a $20000 shopping spree. What would you get? How about that PRS you had your eye on-that triaxis would be sweet on your new simulclass 290 power amp.Let us know the guitar, amp, effects rack and cabs of your choice.

Keep it nice and simple:

AMP: Marshall Stack ATV 200w, 2, 4 speaker cabs, 2 heads. Plus some kind of PA for fun.
Guitars: Ibenaz RG7 Custom, Ibenaz RG6, Les Paul Custom, and BC Warlock
Effects: A Digitech board, 350 maybe. Vox or Cry baby Wha-Wah pedal, and a BOSS Metal Zone.

Hat's what I would buy (:

OK, I'll dream too, a THD Univalve, Dr.Z Maz-Jr, DrZ Maserati, Matchless D-30, a set of THD Yellowjackets, Tom Anderson Classic, Tom Anderson Hollow T, and I'll take the rest of it in strings

Ibanez RG custom, Eventide Harmonizer.. That's about it.. Really.. Hmm.. Perhaps another custom Ibanez, just for showing off. :D

 • Peavey Cirus four string

 • Khaller Bass Whammy bar (for said four string)

 • EMG 40DC pickups and EMG BQC preamp (for said four string)

 • Some disgustingly huge speaker combonation for my Sunn 1200s

 • Sunn 300t and a 4x12 cab of some kind for a guitar amp.

I just knew there had to be some kind of benefit to being such an old fart! I've got a pile of receipts 'this deep' from all the amps and guitars that have come and gone since 1968, but that means I've already got pretty much everything I need. And converted to 2002 dollars, I've probably already spent $20k. :) Here's what I have at the moment:

19?? Washburn EA20-12B 12-string electric/acoustic
19?? Washburn EA20MTS 6-string electric/acoustic
(mid 80's?) Washburn A-20 6-string electric (weird-looking beast)
(mid 80's?) Odyssey V built better than either the Gibson or Epiphone Vs (sounds better too!)
1986 Yamaha SBG-1000 double cutaway Les Paul copy ("Brand X", my main axe)

Update 13 July: The 1977 Daijon 12-string acoustic w/Shadow bridge p/u has been sold to someone who appreciates it. Its in good hands, and my collecton is down to an almost reasonable level.

1991-4 Peavey Rock Master tube pre-amps (3 of 'em!)
1977 Ampeg VT-22 120 Watt, 2x12 tube combo
197? Ampeg VT-40 60 Watt, 4x10 tube combo
1997 Gallian-Kreuger Backline 100 100 Watt, 1x12 transistor combo
2002 WeeBeastie 5 Watt home-built experimental amp
197? Garnet 4x10 cabs (2 of 'em)

Plus the usual assortment of stompboxes 'n such, and a Samson CT-3 wireless that I don't use very often, 'cause I get tangled up by the delay it causes.

So..., I guess I'd look at getting a solid-body electric 12-string custom made, and maybe update my wireless, and the rest would go on recording gear 'cause that's something I don't have!

Sorry Lord, but I just have to say it. I've just seen the introductory paragraph to that list too often. My eyes always just move to see the this deep bit. This wouldn't be an indication of you being bored with repeating that list would it? Is it stored as a text file on your computer?

Yes, I get tired of listing my inventory. You missed the latest addition to the arsenal. I bought the Washburn 12-string last week. So I guess I should sell off the old Daijon, but its kinda nice to have at least one full acoustic to mess about with.

If I had 20K, I'd buy the picks there's in the store in every color and gauge.
Seriously, I'd love to go back to the store where a guy wouldn't find a buyer for the white 7-string Ibanez Universe, and he told me he'd let it go for a 1000 bucks.

I'm receiving my 7 string this week!! Can't wait...

There isn't a lot of fancy stuff in Kenyan music stores,so some of the stuff I would love to have(though I have no concrete info about their quality)is stuff I've seen in music books.
That Martin D-45 acoustic.It goes(on their website)for about $7800U.S.That I would get.
The Black The Paul custom.Looks lovely.
I don't a whole lot about amps, but I read about how a polytone minibrute is ideal for intimate settings. The term intimate strikes a chord(a very appropriate word, don't you think?:)) with me in a lot of ways,so maybe I'd get that.

thats a good point...you never can get enough strings.
I would get a set of elixer strings just to see what they sounded like and stock up on some ernies and dadarios.

I would get a wolfgang just cuz they kick it. Please go look at this photo, you'll be glad you did. It's just beautiful...

http://www.peavey.com/evhcustomshop/vault/maplestdcustlg.html

Or a Robin custom guitar with a paint job similar to the blue one at the bottom of the page only with my girlfriends face instead of that one. Have a see at this one as well, I guarantee you've never seen a paint job like this one before. Ever.
http://www.robinguitars.com/custom.htm

Out of the two guitars I would be more likely to get the wolfgang than the robin.

Seeing as man does not live on meat & potatoes alone, I would get an acoustic...I'm thinking maybe a gold plated taylor 514ce.
http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/models/500.html

I would get a marshall vintage JCM800 2203 amp for very many obvious reasons why.
http://www.marshallamps.com/images/products/vintage/2203.html

Here's the description of marshall vintage amps at their website I just thought I would share with you all.

----------------------------------------
"The main characteristic that these amps share is their simplicity of operation and superb natural valve tone. Achieving the beautifully organic and vibrant overdrive which is their trademark, can only be done in one way - crank 'em up! The result is pure, majestic tone uncluttered by unnecessary circuitry. With solos this produces a big, round, warm, sustain, full of classic character. With chord work you get a bark and percussive attack with a natural sounding break up, which allows each note to ring out in a glorious musical crunch."

-------------------------------------------
Aint it beautiful.

For effects I would get a VF-1 24 bit multiple effects processor for a nice variety of options.
http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/en/rack_and_desktop_devices.html

I would also want my own little recording deal seing as I would have all that nice gear to play with. I'm thinking maybe something by boss since I was at their site looking for a page on the vf1 anyways.
http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/en/BR1180.html

I would mention more stuff but odds are I'm over the 20k limit already even if I only got the wolfgang instead of all 3 guitars.
