...Have written any song in the whole world...what would it be?
I've been trying to think what's the one song I'd love to have written...I've thought about things like Satch's "Summer Song" or Metallica's "Sad But True", Knofler's "Money For Nothing" or Quo's "Whatever You Want".......however, I've come to the conclusion that the one song I wish I could have written, isn't really that much of a guitarists song as such...

I would have loved to have wrote: Don McClean's "Vincent"...I think...

Not as easier as you might think!...Come on people! Bare your soul...failing that, just answer the question, hehe.
Don't worry too much about me, ignore me long enough and I'll go away.

If I could have written any song I want. It would be perhaps Britney Spears's Oops I did it again, because I would be soooo rich.. And then I could get me an even better guitar.. :)

Nah, I think I would have written.. Damnit.. This is hard.. Umm.. Dream Theater's Six Degrees of Inner turbulence, or My glass prison (same band). It could have been kewl if I had written Paganini's 24 caprice.. Or any of Bach's works..

This is fun.. :D

Hehehe - Yea, it is fun, and harder than you might first think, huh?!
Stupid computer though, I could've sworn I posted this in Open Discussion...sorry guys! I know it's in the wrong place, but it's not the first, it won't be the last...heh - work around it, "improvise" :p

C.W.

P.S. Hmmmm...if not Britney Spears then maybe something like Backstreet Boys...oh! I know! The Werzels!!!!! "I've Got A Brand New Combine Harvester" Heheheheh...they don't make 'em like they used to...

I would loved to have written "Estranged" - Guns n Roses. Coz Slash has a killer lead part in the first half, n two very emotional solo's. Axl's lyrics are absolutely fantastic. It's a song I can totally relate to n it makes me cry every time I hear it, well maybe not everytime. But it is a piece of genuis in guitar and lyrically.

'Imagine' John LENNON

I thought I'd make a funny comment, but go and check out the lyrics, you can't top this.

My guitarteacher showed me a classical guitar-piece once,
it was for two guitars.
You would lay the sheet on a table, and the two guitarists would sit opposite eachother.
Guitarplayer 1 started playing as usual from
left to right, top to bottom.
Guitarplayer 2 would do the same thing with the same sheet
at the same time, and it would sound like any other
classical piece.
The only differnce is of course that guitarplayer 2 sits on the other side of the table. So his starting point
is guitarplayer 1's ending point
HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO THAT??
It is just not possible for the normal human mind.
It might be extra-terrestrial.

It would be pretty cool to have written that.

Mr. Tamborine man for its beauty.
Giant Steps (John Coltrane) for its insanity.
