I very much doubt that you will find any other site/course of the same quailty for less $$. The only rivalry that guitartricks has is jamplay which is similar in price. I joined jamplay for a month and was not impressed, i much prefer it here at guitartricks.
I think if the site was to reduce its fees then things may go down hill in terms of standards. In that respect i would erge them not to do it.
For me personally i see my membership here at guitartricks as an apprenticeship, afterall to become an acomplished guitarist is gonna take some time. It will take even longer if you decide to jump from one resource to another.
As was mentioned before there are free alternatives such as justinguitar.com with justin sandercoe or of course youtube by random people and not necessarly proper instructors.
