Hi there - I've just joined up.

Many years ago when I was about 18 years old, I taught myself a bit of guitar - never got too far with it and probably picked up some bad playing habits back then.

Fast forward more than 40 years (now I'm 60) and I'm determined to learn to play properly - I'm old enough to know this isn't a fad or a late mid-life crisis - this time it's serious and I'm prepared to put in as much time as necessary to reach my guitar playing goals.

While I'm deciding which instrument to purchase, I have rented a Standard Strat on which to (re)learn.

Very much looking forward to my membership here & starting a new project which I'm passionate about - helps to achieve another goal, that being to continue feeling younger than I actually am !

I live in Western Australia ...

Welcome aboard!! This site should suit you well especially if you know a thing or two already.

That's cool that you could rent a guitar to start out. I remember years ago around here when you could rent guitars. The shops around here don't do that any more.

Have fun!!

Hey Johnny, sounds like an awesome goal. Props to you for picking up an "axe" again. The strat is a great guitar to pick up where you left off!
