So, basically I'm getting a little bit bored of my music collection and I was wondering if anyone has any "listening suggestions" Bands that they'd care to share with the world...I'm not really bothered at all what style, anything from metal to country to folk to panpipes...I'm just looking for a few interesting bands to listen to really.
So, anyone care to start us off?.........
Don't worry too much about me, ignore me long enough and I'll go away.

See the Charlie Hunter thread below. Also check out Clutch, Scissorfight, and Five Horse Johnson.

Charlie Hunter: Funky inspired Jazz, Clutch: "Pure Rock Fury;" superb live band, Scissorfight: heavy, grooving, detuned, red-neckified, hook laden, and catchy as hell balls out rock and roll, Five Horse Johnson: Nice bluesy rock band.

edit: Link fixed, dang it.

I bought "Pork Soda" yesterday. There is some fiercely intense musicianship on there!

I crave something a little more melodic. Five Horse Johnson may be more to my taste. I'm going to look for "Elephant Riders" as well.

Pork Soda is completely nuts. Sometime when you're bored, go to primussucks.com and check out the lyrics to the title track. For more melodic Primus, seek out "Frizzle Fry." It's their first studio album and has a lot of vestigle influences from Primus' first guitarist Todd Huth who's very melodic when he feels like it. If you want to see what I'm talking about, go to The Bootleg Barn (on primussucks.com) and download a live version of Groundhog's Day, The Toys Go Winding Down, or To Defy the Laws of Tradition.

I'll do that. BTW, you might have a look at your Clutch link. I think it needs a bit of tweaking.
