I want to learn so here I am...

I have been sawing my guitar in half for years, I tried youtube, ant that worked well, it was like working on a 1000 piece puzzle with pieces from 20 different puzzles. I have been here about a week and the right hand is starting to make sense. My ID as terawatt is I am an electronic, and computer tech.
So anyway I will look forward to help from all my new friends.

This was me 2 months ago. Take your time and go thru guitar fundamentals. It all makes sooo much sense to me now that I went thru it. Chris does an amazing job with those lessons and how they are laid out. I am not a person that wants the answer, I am one that wants to know how you got the answer. He explains why notes are, and why chords are.

Yes there are tons of free resources out there, but most are just bits and pieces. It's impossible to learn from a disparate mess of information.

Stick to this site at least until you have gone through all the levels ( with competence). Then you know you have a solid foundation. I intend to be disciplined about it and do it that way. I'm just level 1 Beginner (less than a week into it), and I'm already doing A, D and E chord changes with backing track ( my milestone today!). It feels REAL good :)

The only limit is your self-discipline and enough callouses on your fingertips :D

Good points I know about 20 chords 15 pretty well, I went thru course 1 in a couple hours, But until I started here the right hand did not make sense, I will also go thru the course I believe that will be what it takes to get to my first goal, strum a solo with out voice I can not sing.
I want to finger pick as well as the guy peacejoy on youtubethe boxer is nice.
the here base strum strum, base strum strum on elpaso sounds good, And it's fun.
