Been picking up and putting down guitar for, well lets just say a lot of years. Usually get started, just start to get my fingers working, some chords, some short solo's. The instructor never really tells you why just do it, and I get annoyed cause I don't understand where I'm going, how it all ties together. Tried on my own a few times as well, still never really got to connect the dots. I like it here you can look around and see "Oh OK that's why". I'm a technical person I don't mind building the foundation I just want to know why it supports the structure the way it does. Already feel like I've made progress here, between what I've done before and the way thing are explained and broken down into small pieces here. The fact that you can ask questions and get several explanations helps to if you don't "get it" hearing it one way someone else may say it in a way that you go "OK now i understand". Looking forward to actually getting to the point of making it sound like music instead of practice. Thanks

Hi bissonj,

I know what you mean, this is really important for me too. It's really the only way to progress, significantly. Thanks for sharing with us..yay!! :)
