Anyone who has spent time trying to figure out their pick up ideal will proably tell that they tried a number of guitars with the 'target' pick up or at leasted some good money on pick ups the didn't much like.

I remember that everyone was getting Duncan JB's at one point in the 80's. Everyone around me was like 'It's a cleaner pick for distortion'..or some such baloney.

I bit and I hated that pick up. Just did not like it at all.

Pick ups are funny animals because they react to the guitar they're in (wood type, weight, quality of pots etc) and they react to the player too. they also are used in conjunction with an amp and the desired tone type the player prefers.

I don't think anyone here could really answer if a pick up would work in your guitar. Perhaps if they've had them, they can explain an experience if someone had one of the described pick ups, cool.

Hard otherwise.

For the record, I swap out for an EMG 89 and loved that pick up...and some people hate them.....

...and that's kinda of the point. It has to work for you.
