I play acoustic, want to go to the next level. I wanna play acoustic rock/singer/songwriter. Here is an example of sorta what I am looking for.

This is very blues sounding.
Guitar tricks has a very good blues section with videos for beginners and more advanced players. That might be the thing to check out.

If you're looking to spice up your acoustic playing in a rock way, I'd recommend if you're ready to start fitting in blues solos and modes while carrying on the rhythms. It's harder but it can be done. It's amazing how sometimes tones and the way you play chords and licks can make an acoustic sound more electric unplugged. In other words, you can still kick a lot of ass and play a mean guitar.

Acoustic Rock! Do it. If you want more examples.. check out John Mayer's version of Little Wing. This is what I mean about incorporating chords and solos together. You can do this on an acoustic. I do. Hope this helps.
