New Ibanez or Used?

I am looking at this guitar:

But I have also read that getting a PRestige 2nd hand would be better value?

It looks like a good buy assuming the bidding doesn't go mad at the last moment! And it's only about 5 miles from my house.

Any thoughts?

This is going to be a tough one to answer. I'd say it depended on which "Prestige" model you're talking about and what the asking price is. Your guitar is a personal thing. The right guitar for you, or anyone, is the one that feels best in your hands, has the playability that you desire and the tone and quality that you are looking for. The guitar that may be right for GuitarJoe may not be the right one for AxeSlingin'Sam. I'd suggest going to the nearest Musical Instrument Retailer and play the guitars that you are interested in (you don't have to buy from him) and see what you like best, what feels best to you and especially what sounds the best.
