Down Bound Train
Hello all, I have been kicking around the Springstein song, "Down bound Train" for a few days now. Was wondering if anyone knows the proper strum for this song. It seems you can strum it a few ways and it sounds good by just following the melody. I know its a simple strum and working it out in my own way would be fine but I would like to know the proper strum pattern. Its such a great song I don't want to "hack" it. I have worked out the intro and was maybe thinking the same pattern stays throughout the song. Thanks for the help that anyone may be able to provide. Love this site!!!

Hi Reachforit,
I don't know that song myself but looking it up he doesn't seem to do it the same way twice. In this live performance it looks like he's strumming everything but the "and" of 1:

So it sounds like as long as it sounds good and follows the melody go with that. Thanks for your input. Cheers!
