Hello from the Great Plains.

I have been playing guitar off and on since 94. I finally decided to learn the guitar and finished the Hal Leonard guitar method books. I'm interested in learning blues guitar for my first style. Living in a small town it is hard to find a guitar instructor. I'm also finding it difficult finding another person to play with. I made an offer to play with my neighbor but I think he is shy because he is first starting out. I finally got a new guitar which sounds better than my Madeira Guild.
I think I'm at a point where I need something to get me past this beginner stage into the next level of playing. I've tried another guitar site but it was very generic and had little guidance on getting past the beginner stage. So far I'm glad to have found this site.

Thanks

Joe.

Hi Joe,

We've got a great blues course taught by Anders Mouridsen, I think you'll like it: http://www.guitartricks.com/course.php?input=blues1

Maybe if you share you're learning experience with your neighbor he'll find something in common and open up?
