Hi There.
Id like to introduce myself. I'm Phil, 44 years old residing in Johannesburg S.A.
I've been following my love for music and guitar since I bought my first guitar at age 25 and commenced instruction ( Washburn D21S). I've been taking regular tuition and instruction from private instructors over the past years. Today I decided to enter the world online tuition and I am impressed and excited to make use of your programs.
My equipment I use are a US Fender Strat with Seymour Duncan JB JNR, Duckbucker and Little 59 pickups, a Fender Tele (my favourite) with the most awesome sounding set of Fralin blues pickups, and a Taylor acoustic. My home Amp is a Fender Blues Junior and I play around with a Roland ME70 effects pedal.
My preferred Genre's are Blues , Rock n Country.
I look forward to joining you in this new experience

Hi Phil,

I love the Seymour JB pickup, it's my #1 choice. What is the JNR? I haven't heard of that one yet.

Hi Neal

I would think the Jnr denotes the package. Basically its a double hum bucker in a single coil form factor so you don't need to modify the scratch plate.

Is your JB a double?

All my Strat pickups are doubles in a single coil packaging. I'm a little disappointed that I cant split the Duckbucker, its staggered, but the little 59 on the neck is smoking hot too.

The most impressive I've used are the Lindy Fralins on my Tele. I bought them in NY on recommendation 2 years ago. I think they were called the Blues specials. They have a 5% overwind and bring out rich warm tones. seem to take the edge of the twang a bit.

Take it easy . Good making contact.
