some paul's though. It has a great sound and stays tuned. Or as close to tuned as my ears can tell. Still want that SG. And you're right, marshall is it. I used to have one of the early marshall 50 watt heads made in England with no preamp. Used to use an old beat up rickenbacher practice amp to overdrive it. It was mated up with a huge orange cab with twin 15 altecs. Man what a monster. I had to sell it with my van cause the damn thing wouldn't fit in a toyota. Now I have an old musicman 50 watter...much smaller but still kicks. Also came across an old fender vibrachamp. Tough sounding little amp...love those tubes..although I must confess some of the valvestates I've heard sound pretty convincing...a far cry from those early peavey's.
Well if I ever finish building this house I'm working on and spending every penny on I am going to save up and get my SG.
