I am a lefty, but the first guitar i ever got was a right handed acoustic, it felt comfortable to me, not awkward or anything. But I didnt try out a left handed guitar. So now i have by dominant hand (left) doing the fingerings and my non-dominant (right) picking. Does this put me at an advantage or disadvantage? Or does it matter? Because sometimes i'll go to mars and pick up a lefty strat, and it feels really strange.

Thanks

If it feels comfortable, don't fret. I am left handed, but I play a right handed guitar, and I'm an alright player, so it doesn't seem to have hindered me.

to be honest it doesn#t reall put you at any disadvatage...
I'm lefty and play lefty, but that's only because my right hand dexterity is poor... So i could only pick fast with my left hand....
