Well I have finally committed to learning the guitar. I've been inspired by my 16 year old daughter's band. If these twerps can learn, then their must be hope for this old guy. To put added pressure on myself I invested in a beautiful PRS Custom 24. I just WANT to pick it up, it wants to be played so bad. For now it will just have to take playing bad. I am looking forward to progressing along, and I am mentally ready to give it 100%. I'm not getting any younger afterall.
Cheers!

Hey morefoil! Welcome to GT. My Lady of nearly 34 years is an Alberta girl (yeah...she can be 'rebellious' ;) ).

A month or so back one of the GT members said his/her guitars deserved better and I understood what was meant. I know mine certainly deserve better playing and I'm working to fix that every day. Hope you give yours what it deserves too. :)

I just registered with Guitar Tricks and decided to check out the forum. I've always enjoyed music and have been inspired to learn guitar. A lot of the musicians I admire play guitar so I decided to give it a try.

Hi Morefoil,

It's really amazing when our kids inspire us, I've had similar experiences with my son. You got the right guitar, that's for sure. PRS is a great guitar to start on, they're so smooth and easy to play. Good to have you here!
