a. Donovan, that was really funny... My daughter actually had an old guitar but she grew tired of it soon so she gave it a friend of hers. I bought a new guitar but she ended up giving me her old guitar stand so at least I got something ;-)
b. Lisa, this Website is amazing!! I am so glad I joined up for full access. I can't believe how the lessons are so well made. I've been doing the beginner track with Chris S. and with high definition turned on, the videos are all crystal clear. I actually just finished a lesson from him on C major scales and I've learned a lot in a short period of time. Chris is amazing!!!
c. compart1, I took the Squier to my friend so he can critique it and he said it's well made and he can't find any flaws with it. I actually bought the guitar package at Guitar Center for $249.99 (less $30 for 15% off sale) and it came with everything: Squier electric guitar, Fender amp, strap, Fender guitar case, small tuner and assorted picks. So I think it was a good deal.
I bought the electric guitar so I can practice doing bends, hammer ons and pull ons which are easier to do on the electric but really I'm using the Yamaha acoustic guitar as my main guitar as I just love playing with an acoustic.
Anyways, thanks again for all the welcome posts and hope we get to exchange tips and ideas as we continue learning. I'm so glad I joined GuitarTricks. This site is awesome!
Rock On! :-)
