I bet you don’t like to garden either. It is so much work digging the dirt and removing all the rocks, planting the seeds is not too bad, but all that weeding is just too boring and too much work. Although eating the great tasting food when it is all grown and ready for harvest is something you enjoy. That explains why you are a 20 year beginner.
Digging in the ground is like learning to change chords and scales are like weeding it is things that Have to be done before you can enjoy the fruit of your labor. With no labor there are no songs to be played.
