Tendinitis is due to a repetitive motion, so your tendon (is it the right word in english? it is in french!!) gets heated up. If you keep playing, the heat will become permanent. You have several options, learn a way to warm up correctly, or do your motion another way...
If it hurts, STOP!! Come back later...

Do a search for "tendonitus" on this board. We've had a couple questions about it recently and I've posted some fairly indepth answers there.

Man, I´m also afraid of that **** and evry time I feel somthing in my left hand I directly get upset but it has always been false alarm.
Once I felt real pain was a couple months ago in my left hand when I tried to pull my point finger finger down and it surley did hurt but funny thing was that it didn´t felt at all during the time I playd guitar. So i played instead of my usual 4-5 hrs 2-3 and the pain went away complitly after one week and I did not stop playn´. Now I´m OK.
If it hurts while you are playn´ stop and rest a couple of days. And since you play that much, your hand will get a mega rest and you´ll feel much better after. I don´t want to scare you but you may pay little pain now while you play but think if it increas. Than suddenly you´ll be forced to rest for a month instead for a week our so.
Also, warm up and get the blood circulation in your vains. Very important and don´t play in cold our while your hands are cold. It increases the injury risk dramaticlly.
But you´ll be fine soon you´ll see.
