First, thanks for being nice about it. I know that can get really frustrating. There are a lot of reasons why you might get slow connectivity, and only one of those reasons is under GT control. Our systems are all working fine and we are not getting widespread reports of problems like yours. So the problem is likely local to you/your ISP.

Often these problems solve themselves in a few days. So you might want to just wait a few days before calling your ISP and going through all that. For example, after Hurricane Sandy a lot of people on the east coast had trouble accessing GT, but that has all resolved itself without people having to work it out on their own.
