I have a question about pentatonic scales. Now, I don't know if I am going to word this exactly right so I apologize now for poor articulation. Is it correct in assuming that every note, A,B,C,D,E,F,G has a major and minor pent. scale and the 5 boxes that go with each one?
Pentatonic scales
Greetings Fellow Jammers,
I have a question about pentatonic scales. Now, I don't know if I am going to word this exactly right so I apologize now for poor articulation. Is it correct in assuming that every note, A,B,C,D,E,F,G has a major and minor pent. scale and the 5 boxes that go with each one?

You are making the right assumtion..
If you look at the scale finder you will see every note and scale in any of the 5 pattern. Just click on the note, scale and pattern you want to look at and hear.
Hope this helps

There are 12 possible musical alphabet letters.
A
A-sharp or B-flat
B
C
C-sharp or D-flat
D
D-sharp or E-flat
E
F
F-sharp or G-flat
G
G-sharp or A-flat
Then, it all starts over again at A. Make sense?
You can build a scale (major diatonic, minor diatonic, major pentatonic, minor pentatonic, any scale) on any one or all of those 12 notes. You can also build a chord (major, minor, 7th, etc.) on any one or all of those 12 notes.
Diatonic scales are covered in Guitar Fundamentals 2.
