Looks like Yamaha, Fender & Cordoba, among others, all have models in this price range:

I've played most of those & they are okay. But, you don't get more than you pay for.
My personal preference is for Lapatrie. They are made by Godin & are absolutely superior instruments. In my experience, they are comparable in tone & playability to handmade classical guitars.

I own two of them. The Etude model at $399 is the exact model I used on most of my classical tutorials.
In the end, you should go play as many classical guitars as possible to see which one feels best in your hands & to your ears & mind. Hope this helps! Have fun getting a new guitar. :)

For classical guitars, you really get what you pay for. The lower priced ones (even 300-600 range is lower priced for classical guitars) will sound much different from the mid and top tiers. These are definitely the types of guitars you need to play before you buy. Get to a local shop and start playing some to compare. I went to a bunch of different shops and played tons of them before I finally settled on one. Was $1300 and bought it used for $800. I do want an upgrade though.
