If I am playing a casual blues jam and they say the song is in 1 4 5 does this mean that I can use the 1 4 5 cvhord theory with the pentatonic minor scales ???

Yep, you can use minor pentatonic specific to each chord as well as the one going with the root (I).

Yes, or pentatonic major. Or you can mix pentatonic scales with chord tones for the best blues sound. :) I explain this in depth in a bunch of tutorials.
