My 10-year old daughter has put a keyboard and piano lessons on her X-mas list. Any recommendations? I'd like to get something good enough to learn on, but I don't want to break the bank until I know that she's going to stick with it.

that's a big question..
I would call around to where you would possibly send her for lesson and see if they have a recommendation..
Pricing very from $50 for practice to a few thousand for an electric piano..
You could post your question to Christopher Schlegel ( here at GT ) as he is also a piano instructor..
Here is his web site addy..

Good luck and hope she loves piano..

Hi MMGarrett
you can start renting a piano or an electric keyboard and see if she likes it. It is so beatiful to listen to your kids playing, my little one plays paino and violin.

I didn't even know that renting was an option. I'll look into that. Thanks for the advice.
