which amp?

hey there!

i have the possibility to choose between a few (used) amps for the same price. which one would you choose if you wanted to play thrash metal?

hughes & kettner warp t
Laney AOR 50 serie I
Laney GH100L
custom amp inspired from Peavey 5150

i know its hard/impossible to say without trying, but unfortunately I cant try them out (too far away). so which one do you think would work best? or does onyone have experiences with one of these amps?

I used to have a Laney and I loved it! I've never tried the hughes & kettner but they have a good rep.

You really need to try them all. It's such a personal thing. Tell the seller you are interested and want to try out for a day. If they are not agreeable, move on. There are 1,000,000's of amps but only one you. Take your time. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

Ditto. I have a Laney Lionheart combo (5w). Sounds great, super quality build too. I've also heard good things about H&K amps. Nick's right; try as many as possible if you can.

I would like to try a Hughes & Kettner some day. If they are good enough for Alex Lifeson that says a lot! But of course he probably has the top of the line H&K
