hello
my name is steve, and my aunt recently heard that I played guitar, and so she gave me what the folks at fender would call a "closet classic." It is a Excetero Concord VI guitar from the 70's, not sure what exact year. It is a decent telecaster knock-off. I've looked all over the internet for information on the guitar, but can't find any. Can someone give me a price estimate on this guitar?

thanks.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. that way, if they didn't like what you've said, they're a mile away and barefoot.

I was in the same position having a 70s Fresher LP copy and a Cheri telecaster copy, luckily I managed to get info on the net.

Try searching for/in vintage guitar magazines.

Not much help, but, I can tell you that lots of Japanese copy guitars were made in the same factories in Japan, as the Korean factories were not really set up in the 70s, so you'd get different scripts on the headstocks and different, colour knobs but that would be it -(Maxons,Avons,etc) and you often get CMI -which were supposed to have been made by Ibanez cropping up these days.

I'm afraid that it's only what the market will bear, as you seem to be able to get some damn fine Tele copies for less than £150/$200 these days.

If you ever ,eventually, want to sell it you can try saying something like "Just like a[famous brand of Japanese Telecaster]".... but Teles ,even cranky old copies like mine, should be cherished and played:)

Here's a little cutie BTW>>

An Excetero Concord VI, Hmmmm, I'll keep an eye out for info, but don't think that they'll be much of a value on that rare bird......
