Resting pinky on guitar while playing?

Hi Chris,

I was wondering if it's ok to rest my right pinky finger on the guitar while I am playing? It helps me to 'find' the right string to pick/strum so I don't end up on the wrong one.

hey, even i had the same doubt so i ended up watching a ton of videos of my favorite guitarists performing and most of them planted some part of their palm on the guitar like either the palm or fingers. So just don't worry a lot about it and do what comes most naturally to you and most importantly "Let it flow"

perfectly fine, and needed if you start getting into finger picking on the guitar, helps keep your hand rooted in the same place.
