Scale Learning Exercises

Can anyone tell me some info about the beginner lessons dealing with the C Major, C Minor, and A Minor scales. I can play them fine after following the lessons but one thing that wasn't clear is if I should be attempting to memorize each individual note as I play it on the scale. Not sure if that is an objective or this issue will be covered in a later lesson. Thanks for your help.

Good question! It's a lot of work to memorize every note of a scale you've learned. When I learned scales I didn't do that, but I find as you get more familiar with the fretboard and chord notes that this comes naturally.
