I agree. Lots of great songs out there that feature the guitar (electric & acoustic) heavily.

Aren't those songs pretty basic? Basically just strumming chords the whole time. As long as you know the basics (which this site easily teaches you), then you can play them

there are alot of Christian bands with highly skilled arrangements to their songs. You could turn any song into basic strumming. It's the skilled players that know how to make music. That's who I want to learn with.

Granted its basic compared to Randy Rhodes but so are some of the classics and of course all AC/DC.

Hi Johnny,
Good point. If you could put a top ten list of praise and worship songs in the "Song Request Forum" it would help us out a great deal.
It takes us a long time to license a song, then make the video, then notate it, etc. So we couldn't get anything right away, but getting a sense of what to look for would help us a lot.

Been a member of GT for better part of 6 months now. I had previously tried a few different "instructors" on the web but I've found that the GT site and instructors are the best of any of them..!! I love that you cover some excellent classic tunes as well as a wide range of styles. EXCELLENT...!!!!
Funny, I was thinking the same as Johnny. As an ex-country and rock gigging musician turned worship leader/musician it would be nice to see some Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) artists reviewed in GT. Even though, for the most part, many of the songs are quite basic and fairly easy to pick out with a trained ear (and a little help from software to slow down a song), it's ALWAYS good to get other peoples perspectives of what they hear and how they would play a passage. And, there are some EXCELLENT musicians in the CCM vein that are definitely worth looking in to. I believe another forum reply sent a link to a Lincoln Brewster video. In my humble opinion Lincoln is probably THE PREMIER CCM guitar player...he is just an awesome player!
Regardless whether you pick up CCM or not, from here on, GT is my go-to #1 site for all things guitar pickin'.
Keep up the good work and blessings to y'all!!!!
