Playing Bm in Puff the Magic Dragon

I need some advise. I'm trying to play the basic song of Puff The Magic Dragon. I have a guitar book written by P,P and M I found in a second hand bookstore. I'm using the finger picking they provide, so having the right chords and finger picking is very useful. Awesome. All should be good.

But, even with them providing the chords, they use a Bm chord. I can't play it how they have in the book (don't quite get it), and using the ultimate-guitar tabs I found what sounds like a better sounding Bm that at least looks like something that is playable. The chord is played like the following:

My problem... I have a hard time playing this one. Any hints or you know if there a video on guitartricks that may show me how to play this challenging chord or this family of chords? I need that chord or something very much like or the song just does sound that good to my ear (finger picking uses A, then E, then D...). Or do the more experienced have a trick? I'm not sure my fingers can go that wide ;-).

I tried to find it on guitartricks chord finder, e.g. a Bm like this, and it seems not to have a match.

It might be easier to barre the whole 2nd fret with your index finger and add the fourth fret note with your ring finger. Depending on the tab you have and thus the fingerpicking pattern's use of particular strings, you could change the fourth fret note to be on the d string instead of the g.
