Watch & Win Contest: Official Rules

1. Eligibility : The Guitar Tricks Watch & Win contest is open to all persons who have either (a)viewed the Guitar Tricks lesson of the songs “Southbound” and “Don’t Believe a Word” or (b) emailed a message to [email]admin@guitartricks.com[/email] with the following message: “I want to win a capo”.
a. This sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
b. Each contestant may enter a maximum of one (1) time.
c. A Paid Full Access account is NOT required for entry.
d. Contestant must be above 13 years of age and be able to provide a valid date of birth and shipping address.

2. How to Enter: Beginning at 5:30am on Friday September 21, 2012 and ending at 11:59pm on Thursday September 27, 2012 , contestants may enter to win a Spider Capo in either of the following ways:
a. Watch the Guitar Tricks Song Lessons for the songs “Southbound” and “Don’t Believe a Word” as made famous by Thin Lizzy.
b. Email a message to [email]admin@guitartricks.com[/email] with the following message: “I want to win a capo”.
c. Lesson views and/or emails must be time-stamped by 11:59pm on Thursday September 27, 2012.
d. Entering the contest by both means of entry does not improve your chances of winning and is prohibited by rule (b) of section one (1) of these Official Rules.

3. Random Drawings: A contestant will be picked at random approximately 7 days after the end time of the contest, after which the contestant will be notified via email message that they have won the sweepstakes. They will then be asked for their shipping address and the prize will be shipped to them. Shipping costs will be paid by the sponsor of these sweepstakes. The prize will be shipped to the winner within seven (7) business days of confirmation of eligibility and shipping address.

4. Odds: Odds of winning the prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the drawing.

5. Prize: All prizes will be awarded upon confirmation of eligibility.
a. Spider Capo: A device used to alter the tuning of your guitar without using traditional means.

6. Winner notification: Winners will be notified within 7 days of the drawing.

7. Additional Terms: Guitar Tricks Inc. is not responsible for providing any additional gear, accessories or instructions that may be used in conjunction with the prize awarded in this sweepstakes. Guitar Tricks Inc. does NOT provide a guitar to use with the Spider Capo or additional instructions on how to use it.

8. Limitation of Liability: Guitar Tricks Inc. is not responsible for printing, typographical, human or other errors of any kind in any sweepstakes-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible entries; or for transactions that are lost, misdirected, or fail to enter into the processing system; or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly; or are lost for any reason, including computer, telephonic, paper-transfer, or human error, or electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction, damage, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, or any combination thereof. If, for any reason, this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or infection by computer viruses, bugs, or tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, actions of entrants, technical failures, or any other causes corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any entry or entrant and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes and award prizes from among all eligible non-suspect entries validly received prior to the action requiring such modification. By entering, all entrants agree that this Sweepstakes is governed by laws of the state of California for the resolution of all claims and disputes (excluding any claims against or disputes involving parties other than Sponsor relating to any prize awarded in the Sweepstakes). CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORS AND ADMINISTRATOR RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
